EurekaFest Celebrates Inventors

Museum of Science and MIT host four-day event

Be inspired this week.

The Museum of Science and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology kick off their fourth annual EurekaFest tonight, honoring inventors and encouraging youth to follow in their footsteps.

The Lemelson-MIT Program sponsors the four-day event, which features presentations and exhibits by inventors of all ages. On Thursday and Friday, EurekaFest will be held at MIT; capping the event on Saturday, the Museum of Science will host an all-day design challenge for more than 200 high school students.

Jerome H. Lemelson was a prolific inventor; he and his wife, Dorothy, established the program at MIT in 1994.

The Thursday and Friday evening events, being held at MIT, are free and open to the public. A schedule for this weekend’s EurekaFest is available online. Contact EurekaFest@mit.edu for additional information.
