A Cappella Voices: In Achord
BU vocal group performs holiday songs
The holidays are here, and what better way to celebrate than with seasonal songs from some of Boston University’s best a cappella groups? Over the coming days, BU Today will showcase a different group. The performances were recorded at the Castle. A cappella, which means “in the manner of the chapel,” was first used to describe church music composed for unaccompanied voices, and now refers to any vocal music performed without instruments.
In our first installment, In Achord sings “I’ll be Home for Christmas” and “Carol of the Bells.”

What a delight. Thank you to all the voices “In Achord”. What a great way to start my BU day.
Happy Holidays
Beautiful!
Great job, In Achord! Really nice arrangement of I’ll Be Home.
Great music AND great video
Great music AND professional quality sound and video production.
If you just like, or love as I do, a cappella you’ve probably seen them. Yes them, the videos on a cappella groups websites. As a general rule they are not very good. The singing is lovely, the production values … not so much.
Many thanks to BU Today for arranging this shoot that lets the beauty shine through. I look forward to the rest of the series.
wonderful, can’t wait to hear what is in store tomorrow
LOVELY idea!
Please include the girls’ a cappella group, “Chordially Yours”! We all have our favorite group, ya’ know… ;-)
