The Stories of a Semester
Month by month, major news events as they unfolded
In the timeline above, find a score and more of stories reported during the fall semester.
We survived swine flu scares, welcomed solar-powered trash compactors, worked through controversial changes to printing policies on campus, suffered losses, celebrated growth and new initiatives.
We matriculated and Splashed, hosted the Head of the Charles, flocked to movie theaters to experience the Twilight phenomenon, and watched as an alum won the Democratic primary for the U.S. Senate seat of the late Edward M. Kennedy (Hon.’70).
Fall semester 2009 didn’t have a single fulcrum, defining moment. It was built week by week, story by story, course by course. Here is a rendezvous.
From all of us, Happy Holidays!
