The National Champions You Might Not Know

BU’s figure skaters bring it all home, too

Comm Ave didn’t close down. There was no victory ride on a Duck Tour vehicle. And no professional teams came knocking to offer lucrative contracts.

But that doesn’t mean the members of Boston University’s figure skating club aren’t national champions.

The club, 23 members strong, traveled to Colorado Springs in mid-April, and for the first time came home with the big prize. It was the culmination of a great season — and proof positive that it doesn’t take the promise of glory to get students on the ice.

    Nice work!

Congrats you guys! It’s nice to see a break form the perennial powers of intercollegiate skating… :). I was so happy when I saw your team had won!

I liked your comment about hockey, we are in the same situation with our hockey team, but I’m glad you are able to display your achievement! (we don’t even get a closet, let alone a display case!)
