Same Ice, Different Whirl
Figure it out: there’s another championship-bound skating team in our midst

Click on the video above to see BU’s other incredible skaters.
They’ve made it all the way to the nationals, skating against the toughest competition in the East, making big sacrifices, sharpening their skates and honing their skills, coming together as a team and trying to peak at just the right moment.
The men’s hockey team? Well yeah, but not only them: we’re talking about BU’s figure skaters, amazing athletes who use the frozen surface to practice their art form-cum-sport with a grace and dexterity that the toughest hockey player would appreciate — maybe even envy.
As coincidence would have it, 23 members of BU’s Figure Skating Club are gliding through their final rounds of practice before traveling to Colorado Springs next week for the 2009 U.S. Intercollegiate Figure Skating Championships. And so with everyone on campus thinking ice time, it seems only right to celebrate a different creative take on lacing up skates — to remember that even in the rink, this community is diverse.
Today’s video does just that.

Great video that ends prematurely
As a former figure skater, I really enjoyed the video but why does it end prematurely?

BU Figure Skating
Good luck to Sarah Stone and Schuyler Eldridge in the Nationals.
However, as evidenced from their skating abilities, no luck is necessary.
Sarah – Having followed your career for many years, I know how much commitment you’ve made.
Best wishes from NH.
Good Luck BU Figure Skating

National Champs! Congratulations to the BU Figure Skating Club on winning the 2009 US Intercollegiate Team Figure Skating Championships this past weekend in Colorado Springs, CO.
Way to go BU!!!
It’s no wonder BU won Nationals for the first time in a long time or maybe ever?? It is because of the amazing coaching of Andrea Mohns-Brillaud. There are just no words to describe how incredible of a coach she is and she deserves to be on top always!
BU's other ICE National Champs!
There’s another great ICE team at BU. This team is about pride- determination-countless hours of training, supporting each other, and competing against other schools. Under a great Coach, they performed together as a team, and this team concept made them – “The 2009 US Intercollegiate Figure Skating Team Champions!” Everyone skated great! The rink let you- BU!
Congratulations on a trophy/championship well earned!
Heart's of Champions
