  1. Prof Shimomura’s Lecture on GFP was a fantasatic experience, both subject and beyond. I attended it yesterday at the Albany street Auditorium to see the Laureate and just out of curiosity. I was inspired and impressed by the dedication of the professor and his mentor Prof Johnson in their research, and it was not limited to themselves, their families were also involved in the process. A great way to keep everybody together and happy.
    The place was small for the number of people gathered and the overflow was ushered to an adjacent room. good arrangements. But, I wish they had arranged it in a larger auditorium.
