The Boston University Forensic Society to hold a seminar on forensic podiatry

Television crime shows such as CSI and Law and Order rely on a variety of forensic techniques to get to the bottom of a crime. At BU, the Biomedical Forensic Sciences Program trains students for work as forensic scientists, DNA analysts, chemists, death investigators, and crime scene responders.

The Boston University Forensic Society is holding the first seminar of the semester, Forensic Podiatry and the Foot in Medicolegal Investigations, today at 4 p.m. Podiatrist David Agoada will be the speaker. Last semester, the group featured a variety of guest speakers, from members of the Boston Police Department underwater recovery unit to medical examiners describing intriguing autopsies.

The seminar will be held Thursday, January 29, at 4 p.m. at the School of Medicine, 72 E. Concord St., Room R-108. Refreshments will be served.

Check out the group on Facebook.
