Student Photographers Take the Spotlight at PRC

Leslie Brown, the curator of the PRC, says that while the styles range from 19th-century processes to digital photography, a trend among the images has emerged. “It seems we have an unconscious theme: the surreal,” she says. “I would venture to say that we are seeing new art trends at their very beginnings in shows like this.”

The Photographic Resource Center’s 2008 PRC Student Exhibition runs from February 8 through March 16. The opening reception is on Thursday, February 7, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. The PRC, 832 Commonwealth Ave., is open Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Thursday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday and Sunday, noon to 5 p.m., and closed Monday.
