BU Central

This semester’s BU Central Acoustic Café series — which gives student performers a chance to get on stage and showcase their talents — starts tonight, September 20, with headliner Katie Uva (CAS’10), a folk-rocker who counts Janis Joplin, Cake, Sufian Stevens, and Iron and Wine among her influences. A native New Yorker, Uva released The Me Album, a CD featuring 12 original songs, earlier this year.

Sign-up for tonight’s Acoustic Café starts at 8:30 p.m. in BU Central, and the show begins at 9.
