Myq Kaplan (GRS’06), the first champion, went on to appear on Comedy Central’s Open Mic Fight. Steve Macone (COM’07), last year’s winner, has since performed with Dave Coulier. Who will be this year’s funniest student — and what kind of comedy notoriety awaits?

The annual BU’s Funniest Student Competition, sponsored by the Student Activities Office, is similar to the reality television series Last Comic Standing and American Idol. A panel of judges eliminated approximately half of the comedians in the preliminary round on September 27. Tonight, the finalists appear at BU Central, where audience members will select the Funniest Student of 2007.

Doors open at 8:30 p.m. All BU Central events are free with a BU ID. For more information, visit the BU Central Web site.
