In 25 Questions for a Jewish Mother, the stories of countless women are woven together on stage by Judy Gold. In this one-woman show at the Huntington Theatre Company, Gold uses material she collected with award-winning playwright Kate Moira Ryan during their five-year journey across the United States, interviewing Jewish mothers of different ages, ethnicities, and occupations. Directed by Karen Kohlhaas, the play combines the women’s stories with Gold’s experiences as a mother, daughter, and Emmy Award-winning writer.
