Christy Foley (COM’06) will take the reporting skills she learned in the classroom into the field beginning February 10, when she helps cover the figure skating portion of the winter Olympics in Turin, Italy, for NBC.

The broadcast journalism major has an extensive background as a figure skater and has covered the sport as a reporter. After she worked a summer internship with MSNBC, a network employee recommended her for the job at the Olympics. She will log the performances at the games and interview the figure skaters.
