Ana Pantelic (COM’07) will set sail for Asia this summer after receiving a scholarship to participate in the Semester at Sea Program.

A public relations major, Pantelic received the $2,000 award from the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, the only interdisciplinary honors organizations for first and second year college students. While at sea, Pantelic will spend 65 days studying on a ship with hundreds of students from across the United States. They will visit countries like Taiwan, Singapore, and Vietnam. But before Pantelic even begins the excursion, she will intern at a Serbian public relations agency.

“If I am able to pride myself on being open-minded and well-rounded. Then I must search for ways to expand my horizons,” said Pantelic. She plans to pursue an MBA in the future, and eventually a PhD.
