American Idol comes to BU

Ayla Brown, a freshman at Boston College, made it to the semifinals of this year's American Idol competition.

Massachusetts native Ayla Brown — who won a spot on American Idol by auditioning at Gillette Stadium and reached the semifinal round of the competition — will perform in the GSU’s Metcalf Hall on Friday, September 22, at 9 p.m. as part of BU Central’s BU in the Ballroom series. Angelica Allen (COM’08), who won BU’s Terrier Idol competition in 2004, will open.

Throughout the concert, students will be able to make their own music-video DVDs or photo clocks, beginning at 7:30 p.m.
