Mugar Memorial Library was built in 1966 with a gift from Stephen Mugar, who with his Armenian immigrant father, Sarkis, turned their small grocery store in Watertown, Mass., into the Star Market chain. At the library’s dedication, Stephen stands between library director Gus Harrer (left), and BU President Harold Case.
