Answering Calls
Lift Handset, announce your department and name.
Placing Calls
Refer to dialing instructions.
Hold
To place a call on hold:
Press Hold, or use: Automatic Hold
To place an existing call on hold and answer
or place a call on another line:
1. Ask party to hold
2. Press other line key
To return to hold call:
Press flashing line key
To release a held call:
1. Press flashing line key
2. Press Rls or hang up
Transfer
To transfer to another extension:
1. Press Trns/Conf (hear special dial tone)
2. Dial 5-digit extension number.
3. Announce call
4. Press Trns/Conf
5. Press Rls or hang up
6. Announce call
To return to first call if transfer not accepted
or from busy or no answer tone:
1. Press Rls
2. Press flashing line key (you are reconnected to original call)
Three Way Calling
To add a third person to an existing call:
1. Press Trans/Conf (hear special dial tone)
2. Dial third party's number
3. When party answers, press Trans/Conf (All three parties are connected)
To remove yourself from the conference:
Press Rls (The other two parties will remain connected provided at least one is on a BU line)
To disconnect the last party added to conference:
Press Trns/Conf (You are now connected to the original call)
Call Forwarding
To temporarily redirect your incoming calls to another extension
To program via code:
1. Lift handset
2. Dial 123 (hear special dial tone)
3. Dial extension that you wish to forward to (5-digits)
4. Hear confirmation tone, press Rls or hang up
To cancel:
1. Lift handset
2. Dial 124
3. Hear confirmation tone, press Rls or hang up
To program with Call Fwd key:
1. Do not lift handset
2. Press Call Fwd key (lamp flashes)
3. Dial extension that you wish to forward to (5-digits)
4. Press Call Fwd key again (lamp steady, calls are forwarded)
To cancel:
Press Call Fwd key (lamp extinguishes)
Call Forward Busy
1. Lift Handset
2. Dial 176 (hear special dial tone)
3. Dial 5-digit extension you wish your calls to forward to when your line is busy (for voicemail, 3-9999)
4. Hear confirmation tone, hang up
Call Forward Don't Answer
1. Lift Handset
2. Dial 178 (hear special dial tone)
3. Dial 5-digit extension you wish your call to forward to when your line isn't answered (for voicemail, 3-9999)
4. Hear confirmation tone, hang up
Call Park
To put a call on hold at your telephone and retrieve that call from any phone on campus:
1. Press Park key or tress Trns/Conf key and dial 150.
3. Hear confirmation tone, hang up.
To retrieve from any campus phone:
1. Lift handset
2. Dial 152 or Park key + extension which parked the call.
Group Intercom
To place an intercom call to someone in your group:
1. Lift handset, press Intercom key
3. Dial 2-digit Group Member number
To answer an intercom call:
1. Press Intercom key
3. Lift Handset
