Overview	We provide centrally managed web services to the entire University. When you host your site with us, your department gets a web address at www.bu.edu or www.bumc.bu.edu. Of the 400,000 pages at BU, over 100,000 of them are on our central servers.

Benefits	Rather than going through the effort of hosting on your own departmental server or paying for external site hosting and maintenance, you can quickly and easily host your site at BU. We conduct daily backups and maintain off-site backups for disaster recovery. You also get access to a modern, easy-to-use site development and maintenance product – WordPress.
Key Features	Worry-free hosting of your site – Servers are monitored and maintained 24/7. WordPress – You get access to a fully featured, web-based site development and maintenance product – no software to buy or install. Departmental Blogs – Create a supplemental blog for your department’s site. Ongoing Maintenance – Have your site maintained for you – at low rates.
Requirements	This service is available to academic departments and administrative units.
Cost	Many services are offered at no charge to your department. On a project basis, IS&T will assess the effort required to meet your goals and provide an estimate.
Getting Started	You have a choice, but we recommend WordPress over Non-WordPress.
