Web Browser – Mac OS X
Below is a list of our supported web browsers for Blackboard Vista users using Mac OS X computers. Select the radio button below for your browser if you need to determine the exact web browser version number.
To check your version of Firefox
- Start Firefox from your dock at the bottom of your screen.
- Click Firefox in the menu at the top of your screen.
- Click on the option, About Mozilla Firefox.
- In the window that appears look for the version information.
- If this information contains version 3.0 to 3.6 you have a compatible version of Firefox and may proceed to check the pop-up blocker settings . If not, you’ll need to download an updated version of Firefox. Then proceed to check your pop-up blocker settings.
To check your version of Safari
- Start Safari from your dock at the bottom of your screen.
- Click Safari in the menu at the top of your screen.
- Click the option, About Safari.
- In the window that appears look for the version information.
- If this information contains version 3.0 to 4.0 you have a compatible version of Safari and may proceed to check your pop-up blocker settings. If not, you need to update your Safari browser. You can update your Safari browsr through the Mac OS X regular software updates.
- Once you have successfully updated your version of Safari, you may proceed to check your pop-up blocker settings.
