Live Classroom
The Live Classroom Setup Wizard will check to see if your computer is set up properly for use with Live Classroom. You should not attempt to run the Setup Wizard until after you have already configured your system and browser according to Blackboard Vista’s specifications.
Clicking on the Live Classroom Set Up Wizard will bring up a smaller window which guides you through several tests, such as checking pop-ups, text chat and listening to and transmitting audio. If the Live Classroom Setup Wizard detects any issues, it will report them to you. You can resolve these issues by following the instructions in the Setup Wizard. When finished with the Live Classroom Set Up Wizard, proceed to the Login to Vista check list.
Notes for Windows Users
- Some Windows users may notice that when the Live Classroom Set Up Wizard has finished testing all components, it will automatically close both the testing window and the rest of your browser. This is normal behavior.
- For Windows Vista users, if you don’t have a microphone and/or web cam attached to your computer while running the Live Classroom Set Up Wizard, you may see a “Fatal Audio Library Error” window during the “Playback” and “Recording” tests. You can close these windows and finish the Live Classroom Set Up Wizard. If you don’t have a microphone, you can use the call in feature of Live Classroom.
