Details on technology resources and other attributes for OUR classrooms can be found at www.bu.edu/classrooms.
The new rooms will be equipped with full digital AV presentation systems that that support the HDMI standard and will be capable of displaying images from both integrated and personal sources such as laptops, smartphones and tablets (adapters may be needed). Integrated sources will include a Blu-Ray player that is also capable of playing DVDs and an in-room computer with a login station equipped with a connection on the monitor for USB devices. The computer will also be loaded with software based lecture capture for recording audio and content. The ceiling mounted projector uses the newest laser projection technology that will run for over 20,000 hours without need of maintenance or lamp replacement, reducing interruption of instruction and providing crisper, brighter images.
