Variable Speed Playback (VSP) allows a view to slow down or speed up the rate at which an Echo video plays. Viewers can slow playback down to half speed (0.5) or speed it up to twice the normal rate (2.0) by adjusting the slider control as shown below.
- The VSP feature is available only with newer browsers that adhere to HTML standards.
- When a viewer varies the playback, both the audio and the presentation display (or both displays) change speed. If the Echo includes a video input, the video pane dims while the speed is set to anything but the normal playback rate. The video reappears and resynchronizes when the playback speed returns to normal.
