The Incident Response Team has a collection of software tools that can be used to audit the security of a system connected to the campus network and highlight potential installation and configuration problems. This collection of software can be used to identify vulnerabilities in your system that you are not aware of and prioritize your response efforts based on the threat each vulnerability presents.
Scans are scheduled to run by InfoSec staff. We try to run the scans within 2 business days of a request, but scans may be delayed for a variety of reasons including departmental preference. After making a request, we will work with you to schedule the scan at a mutually agreeable time.
Vulnerability scans are available only to faculty and staff of the University (preferably the departmental IT staff) . Please contact the Incident Response Team to schedule a scan.
