Post Fields

Post Fields allow you to add fields to your form that create Post Drafts in WordPress from the submitted data. They include:

  • Title
  • Body
  • Excerpt
  • Tags
  • Category
  • Image
  • Custom Field

Add a Field Example: Multiple Choice

  1. Under the Standard Fields section on the Form Editor, click the Multiple Choice button. A Multiple Choice field will be added to your form.
  2. Hover over the form and click the Edit button.
  3. Under the Properties tab, enter the Field Label. This is where you will put the question you want answered by the choices you will add in the next step.
  4. Gravity Forms will automatically add three choices. Edit these fields by clicking in the box that says First Choice and type in your choice. Repeat this process for each choice you want to add. If you need more than the three available fields, click the plus (+) button to add an additional choice. Similarly, clicking the minus (-) button will remove unwanted choices.
  5. In the Description field, add in any optional information you want to include about this particular multiple choice question.
  6. Check the Required box to make this form field required. A required field will prevent the form from being submitted if it is not filled out or selected.
  7. Check the No Duplicates box to limit user input to unique values only. This will require that a value entered in a field does not currently exist in the entry database for that field.
  8. Click the Close button at the top of the Field Editor to close the field edit window and continue to add or edit other fields.
  9. When you have finished adding all fields, click the Save Form Button at the bottom of the page.
