Please be aware that the “No end date” option in the Outlook 2010 calendar has been made unavailable for recurring meetings and appointments, as shown in the image below. This restriction has been recommended by Microsoft until a glitch in the way single events modified within a series can be resolved.
As a result, the default option for Outlook 2010 users is to “End after 10 occurrences,” with the number “10” available to be changed. You can also opt to use the “End by (date)” option.
1. This restriction only affects the use of “No end date” for those creating recurring meetings or appointments using Outlook 2010 on BU-owned (and domain-joined) PCs.
2. Those using a Mac, earlier versions of Outlook, OWA, home computers, or a mobile device to schedule meetings or appointment will not be affected.
3. However, if you do create a recurring meeting or appointment (with no end date) on a Mac, earlier version of Outlook, OWA, home computer, or mobile device, you will not be able to edit the occurrence on on BU-owned (and domain-joined) PC with Outlook 2010 and should, instead, login to OWA to make any changes.
