Overview IS&T manages a software maintenance contract that allows client machines to receive SGI IRIX security patches.
Available To Faculty, Researchers, Staff, Departments
Benefits Security patches reduce the vulnerability of these machines to remote or local compromise.

  • We contact all known clients when SGI releases an IRIX maintenance version.
  • We will apply the security patches for you, if requested.
Requirements
  • Your machine must be owned by BU.
  • Contract must be renewed annually.
  • Hardware support can be obtained separately from various field service organizations.
Cost Cost varies from $44 to $326 by machine type.
