IS&T maintains and renews the license contract for legacy systems running HP’s Tru64 UNIX or OpenVMS operating systems. |

| Benefits |
Renewing the contract allows participants to continue to use Fortran and C compilers and to timeshare their machine’s services. Consolidating license renewals into a single, annual purchase reduces the cost for each participant. |
| Key Features |
- The contract is renewed annually and is not prorated.
- IS&T buys in bulk when there are more than two requests.

A BU-owned machine running one of these operating systems |
| Cost |
The cost of renewal is shared with others and decreases as the number of participants increases. One license costs $1,850, while up to 10 servers can be covered for $4,000. |
