Installation Overview
BU Linux is installed via the campus network; we currently do not provide an entirely CD-ROM-based installation process. However, you will need to have a boot CD containing the initial install program, which you can create as described below.
- Download either Monde 64-bit systems or Monde 32-bit systems (server/desktop version based on CentOS 5.4).
- Make an install CD yourself by downloading the image and using your CD-writing software’s “burn from ISO image” or “create from disc image” feature. Don’t just put the file on the disc.
- Boot your system from that install CD and follow the on-screen instructions. If you need more help, check out our step-by-step installation guide.
