Middleware Services
| Overview |
Middleware is a general term for any programming that serves to “glue together,” mediate between, or enhance two separate and usually already existing programs. Here we use it to refer to authentication software that sits between client programs and secured services. The primary middleware services in use for authentication at BU are Kerberos and Shibboleth. |
