    Create a Network Connection dialogue
  3. Select the BU (requires VPN) unsecured network and click on Connect.

  4. Next time you want to connect you then just go to Start-> Network Connections -> Wireless Network Connection and launch the BU (requires VPN) wireless connection. However, in order to use the wireless network at BU you still need to authenticate with the VPN.

2. Install and configure Cisco VPN software to encrypt your wireless traffic

The Cisco VPN Client is available as a free download from the IT Help Center’s Web site at www.bu.edu/pcsc/vpn.

You cannot establish a connection on the University's wireless network without encryption, and only the Cisco VPN software will work. Microsoft's VPN software cannot be used with our wireless network. The Cisco VPN uses your BU login name and Kerberos password for authentication.
