Setting up your HP Printer in Mac OS X Leopard (10.5.)
Plug in your printer to your computer via USB
**Your printer software should already be installed and ready to use.**
Here's how to confirm that is has been installed:
1) Click on the Apple on the top left and then go to System Preferences...
2) Click on Print & Fax
3) You should see HP Deskjet D4200 series listed (and, if this is a new computer, that might be the only one you see listed).
4) If you see it there and want to test printing, open up an Application such as Safari , then click on the File menu and select Print...
5) This menu should pop up over Safari. If next to Printer it says HP Deskjet D4200 series (you may need to select it from the list) you are then all set to go and can press the Print button.
