Subject: Matlab upgrade on Katana Cluster on Tues. Jan 12th at 10am

An upgrade of Matlab from version 2008b to 2009b will occur next
Tuesday, January 12th at 10am on the Katana Cluster.  Any existing
instances of Matlab 2008b will run to completion after this upgrade occurs.

A list of updates and fixes for Matlab 2009b can be found on the

Please note that current users of the Parallel Computing Toolbox will
need to reconfigure their batch configuration setup AFTER the upgrade
occurs.  Please refer to the following page for detailed instructions on
how to do this:

Current Parallel Computing Toolbox users may also need to change their
code to take advantage of the new functionality included in Matlab
2009b.  Please contact Kadin Tseng at kadin@bu.edu if you need more
