Some static content (non-WordPress) websites are configured to allow some pages to have access restrictions. Access can be restricted to BU affiliates only, specific individuals, or certain types of accounts (e.g., faculty).

Access restrictions are only possible on sites that are specifically configured to allow them. Please contact the IT Help Center to request that your static content (non-WordPress) site have content restrictions enabled.

Once enabled, you can manage restrictions for specific areas by uploading special files to your site called .htaccess files. Information Services & Technology can provide guidance on how to setup a particular type of restriction.
