Overview	BUTV is a satellite system offering a comprehensive lineup of over 100 channels and programming customized for our campus.

Requirements	All student residences managed by BU Housing automatically include BUTV without charge. Faculty and staff interested in ordering BUTV for administrative locations require permission from their department head. Most Rental Property apartments have cable television outlets and can obtain cable service through a private provider.
Cost	Students in on-campus undergraduate residences: No charge. Faculty and Staff: Monthly service is $15. Installation cost depends on location. Please contact Telecommunications at 617-353-2097 for an installation estimate.
Getting Started	Students in on-campus undergraduate residences: Connect your TV to the cable outlet using an RG-6 coax cable. Make sure that you have set your TV for cable or CATV (vs. antenna) and performed an auto program (sometimes called channel setup). If you find that your BUTV is still not working, please submit a repair ticket. Faculty and Staff: Order BUTV by calling Telecommunications at 617-353-2097.
