Accounts & Network Access

Overview	We offer general BU login accounts and network access (both wired and wireless) to the entire University community.
Available To	Students, Faculty, Researchers, Staff, Departments, Prospective Students, New/Incoming Students, Guests
Benefits	With just one account, you get access to most major computing and information services at BU.
Key Features	A single BU login name and Kerberos password provide access to most services. Network access is widely available throughout campus. You can work remotely through secure connections that provide access to the same resources you enjoy on campus.
Requirements	None
Cost	There are no charges for basic computer accounts. Generally, there are no charges to use non-residential network services. Students living in the residences must have paid the ResNet Fee before connecting to the network in one of the residences. Network design, installation, and port activation charges vary; departments interested in these services should contact nethelp@bu.edu for more information.
