BBEC Constituent Essentials

To continue to build and maintain strong, productive, and long-lasting relationships among Boston University’s many constituents, everyone on our team needs to have a strong understanding of the experience we are trying to create for our constituents. BBEC plays a vital role in that understanding.

Constituent records in BBEC allow you to manage relationships and interactions with each of our constituents to help us toward our goal of creating a great constituent experience. Accurate and relevant constituent data are critical to support our work here at DAR.

The following are just some of the important questions we will answer in this course:

  • Who are our constituents?
  • How do constituents get into the BBEC and how do I find them?
  • What data is stored in a constituent record and how is it managed?
  • How do we use that data in DAR?
  • How can I get relevant, meaningful constituent data out of BBEC?

Please note: This course is exclusively for staff members of the Boston University Office of Development and Alumni Relations and is the prerequisite for all other BBEC courses.
