How we communicate with you

You might first hear from IS&T when you join the community and need to set up your BU login name and Kerberos password. You might meet us again when you move into a residence or when you get started as a BU employee.  At any time, you can find us at the IT Help Center, which has two service desk locations; at 533 Commonwealth Avenue and at Mugar Library.

Look for regular news and alerts provided on our home page, through broadcast email messages, within specific applications (e.g. Blackboard and BUworks) and via the social media channels listed below. IS&T provides advance notice of planned changes and service outages, as well as alerts and updates regarding any current service impacting incidents. We also post information on training classes, available software, hardware purchasing, new services, educational technology resources, security alerts, and more.
