CISE will announce the 7th annual CISE awards in conjunction with the 2010 BU Science and Engineering Research Symposium. The 2010 CISE award winners will be announced at the Wine and Cheese Event. The CISE First Prize winner will receive $500, and Honorable Mentions will receive a $100 prize.

All students whose ad visors are CISE affiliated are automatically considered for the CISE awards.

Entries are judged on scientific or engineering innovation, relevance, promise of future impact, societal implications, and the exhibitor’s presentation.  Judges were:

  • Azer Bestavros, Professor, Computer Science, College of Arts and Sciences
  • David Castañón, Professor, Electrical and Computer Engineering, College of Engineering
  • Michael Gevelber, Associate Professor, Mechanical Engineering, College of Engineering
  • Sandor Vajda, Professor, Biomedical Engineering, College of Engineering
