Research Interests:

  • Cooperative control, estimation, and inference in multi-robot systems

Professor Schwager’s research is in the area of multi-robot systems. He studies group behaviors in robots and animals using tools from control theory, optimization, and statistical inference. In January 2012 he  joins the faculty at the Boston University Mechanical Engineering Department. Previously, he worked as a postdoc with Prof. Vijay Kumar at the University of Pennsylvania. Professor Schwager finished his PhD at MIT in 2009 working with Daniela Rus in the Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Lab (CSAIL).
