Venkatesh Saligrama is a faculty member in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and the Division of Systems Engineering at Boston University. He holds a PhD from MIT. His research interests are in Statistical Learning, Video Analytics, Statistical Signal Processing, Information and Control theory, Sensor Networks. He was a keynote speaker at the Homeland Security Summit and a plenary speaker at the Northeast Control Conference. He has edited a book on Networked Sensing, Information and Control. He served as an Associate Editor for IEEE Transactions on Signal Processing and has been on Technical Program Committees of several IEEE conferences. He is the recipient of numerous awards including the Presidential Early Career Award, ONR Young Investigator Award, and the NSF Career Award.
