Dr Karl received his Ph.D. (1991), E.E. (1990), and his S.M. (1984) in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He received his S.B. in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering (1983), also at Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
