Abbreviated CV:
David Starobinski received the B.Sc., M.Sc. and Ph.D degrees, all in Electrical Engineering, from the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology, in 1993, 1996 and 1999, respectively. From 1993 to 1999, he was a research assistant at the Technion and served also as a lecturer and project supervisor. In 1996, he was a summer intern at the research laboratories of Sun Microsystems Corp., Mountain View, California. During the year 1999-2000, he was a visiting post-doctoral researcher in the EECS department at UC Berkeley, sponsored by a fellowship from the Swiss National Foundation. Since September 2000, he has been an Assistant Professor at Boston University. Dr. Starobinski received awards from the Gutwirth Foundation and Intel Corp. in recognition of outstanding academic achievements. He also received an NSF CAREER award in 2002 for his work on Quality of Service and Multiple Time-Scale Traffic.
