Smart Grid Research Consortium
The Boston University Smart Grid Research Consortium connects academia, industry, and local and national policy makers. The purpose of this consortium is to consider and implement Smart Grid applications across multiple fields of endeavor. Widespread adoption of Smart Grid technologies requires much more than technology alone. Even with the most superior system, it is no easy task to disrupt the status quo of existing capital equipment, habits, business practices and models, markets, and regulation. Yet, these challenges also offer opportunities to a broad ecosystem of firms and institutions.
