About the CISE Graduate Student Workshop (CGSW): The Center for Information and Systems Engineering hosted the 5th CISE Graduate Student Workshop (CGSW) on January 17, 2018 at the Boston University Photonics Center. Organized by students, for students, CGSW is an annual event designed to encourage interdisciplinary sharing from CISE students and CISE affiliated faculty across diverse application areas. CGSW participants present their research and hone their presentation skills in an engaging, collaborative environment. At the event conclusion, CGSW attendees vote for Best Student Presentations. A MACS (Most Attentive CISE Student) award is also given to the highest scorer in an on-site game.
Research presentations are by CISE students but the event is open for anyone to come, listen and participate. A CISE student is a student whose advisor is a CISE affiliated faculty.
