Affiiated User: Faculty, Staff, or Student of Boston University
The Agreement :
This Agreement grants the Affiliated User and the Institution a limited, nonexclusive, nontransferable license to use the Software through June 30, 2008.
The S-PLUS Academic software will time out on this date. Please see the University site license administrator for details if you plan to renew upon expiration.

The S-PLUS Academic Software is licensed as follows:
a) The Institution may check out copies of the Software to Affiliated Users to install on their university computer or home computer or laptop, for their own academic use, provided this license agreement accompanies each distributed copy, and provided The Institution notifies all such users upon expiration of this license agreement.
b) An Affiliated User's right to use the Software expires with the earlier of a) the expiration of this lease or b) the date the Affiliated User leavesThe Institution. The S-PLUS software must be uninstalled because the right to use the S-PLUS software ceases at that time.
c) Faculty members with a Professional License must agree to deinstall the S-PLUS software on the end date of the faculty member's position at The Institution.
d) Current status at The Institution is required in order for Affiliated Users to participate in the University license.
e) Upon expiration of the lease agreement, Affiliated Users will be notified by e-mail and are responsible for uninstalling Software loaded on the Affiliated User's university PC, or laptop, or personal PC or laptop.
f) Affiliated Users may use the Software and the documentation for educational purposes only, to include academic instruction and academic research; the Software may not be used in a commercial, governmental, or non-educational non-profit setting;
g) The Software may only be loaded on a university owned machine, or an Affiliated User's personal PC or laptop. The Software obtained under this Academic License Agreement may not be loaded on a government or commercialyl owned machine.
h) Affiliated Users may not copy the documentation.
i) Software documentation is available on-line at Insightful, or may be purchased by Affiliated Users directly from Insightful Corporation. Affiliated Users may send e-mail to academic@insightful.com to inquire as to how to purchase the documentation for the Software.
j)The license granted herein is limited solely to the uses specified above, and without limiting the generality of the foregoing, The Affiliated User is NOT licensed to use or to copy all or any part of the Software or the documentation in connection with the sale, resale, license, or other for-profit personal or commercial reproduction or commercial distribution of computer programs or other materials without the prior written consent of Insightful Corporation.
