How Students can access Mathematica

  1. Instructions on obtaining the student version from the web (Kerberos account needed)

  2. Need more computing power? Have your professor request Scientific Computing Facility resources on a supercomputer for your class or current project. Get a sponsor (usually your professor) to arrange for an account on a supercomputer.

  3. No PC? Visit the Academic Computing Cluster in the basement terminal room at 111 Cummington Street and use your ACS account to access Mathematica version 6.0.

Documentation

Wolfram Research, Inc. provides a Documentation Center on the web. Also, basic documentation comes with the download media. For those who prefer hard copy, the fifth edition of Mathematica by Stephen Wolfram is available at the Science and Engineering Library Reserve Desk.
