BUMC Earth Day Festival

Join us in celebrating Earth Day 2019 this spring. The 9th Annual Earth Day Festival is a dynamic event that brings together local businesses, nonprofits, BU departments, student organizations, and more to share interactive and fun activities outdoors to celebrate sustainability together.

Earth Day Pop-Up

Careers in Sustainability Speed Dating

Wednesday, April 24th

The StuGov Department of Environmental Affairs and Innovate at @BU invites you and your club to a Careers in Sustainability Speed Dating event on April 24th from 5-6 pm in the GSU Alley. Free food will be provided. This event is not your average networking event. Students will be paired with working professionals for 5-minute intervals and have the opportunity to ask career questions. Our goal is to help students understand that careers in sustainability are wide-reaching and different, ranging from social investing to engineering, with everything in between.

Imperfect Food Demo

Food waste is an environmental problem that we can solve. When we waste food, we also waste the resources that went into growing it. Join BU’s Executive Chef, Christopher Bee for a live cooking demonstration, using imperfect produce and leftovers. Learn about BRUZD Foods, an organization that collects imperfect produce from local farms throughout Massachusetts and delivers this fresh produce to your home and Food For All, an app that connects its users with unsold food at local restaurants to help eliminate food waste.
