What You Can Do
As members of the Boston University and the global community, we have the responsibility to use less in order to leave more for future generations. We’re encouraging everyone to begin by incorporating small sustainable actions into their daily lives. Check out our 2010 Orientation Video:
If you’d like to learn about climate change, renewable energy, how you can help reduce Boston University’s environmental footprint, or even where to find a great bike trail, take advantage of the many opportunities to get involved. Explore one of the Green Teams, Join a club, or explore the possibility of living at the Earth House in South Campus. In addition, take advantage of the Sustainability Resource Center at the School of Education. It’s a great place to meet, view videos and books, or borrow equipment like a Kill-o-Watt Meter.
Join the Challenge
Each month on campus we focus on one simple action and provide the metrics behind the CO2 savings. In order to add some fun and friendly competition, sustainabiliy@BU has partnered with Carbonrally, an organization that encourages team-based participation in various environmentally-friendly challenges. It’s our hope that each school and college will Join the Challenge by signing up with their school, college, or department. Alumni are encouraged to take part no matter what state or country they’re currently living.
