Registration for Visiting StudentsVisiting students are welcome to participate in Boston University Summer Term. No special admission is required. You can register using our online registration system, or by sending in (or faxing us) the registration forms. Please note that International students should follow the registration instructions on the international section of the Summer Term website. Returning StudentsIf you have attended Boston University in the past, you can register online using the Student Link as long as your BU login account and password are still active. If your account is no longer active, please contact the Summer Term office. Register OnlineStudents new to Boston University can register online by completing the following three-step process: 1. Create
a Boston University Login Account. After you fill out and submit the form you will receive a confirmation email. It will have links that allow you to proceed to Step 2 and complete the registration Login process. Once that is done you'll be ready to Register for classes using Step 3. Once you have completed this process, you can visit the Student Link at any time to add and drop courses (until the published deadlines), list or print your class schedule, check your grades, and update your personal information. If you experience any problems, or have questions, please e-mail summer@bu.edu. Register via Paper-Based FormVisiting students may also register by downloading a Summer Term registration form. Use the Summer 1 Form for Session 1 and 12 week courses and the Summer 2 Form for Session 2 courses. You may register for both sessions at once as long as a separate form is submitted for each session. Mail, fax, or walk-in your registration form, by the dates
below, to: Registration for standard courses takes place from March
5 to May 20 for Session 1 and until June 30 for
Session 2. Boston University offices are open Monday through
Friday 9 a.m.-5 p.m. PaymentCharges for tuition and fees will appear on your student account as soon as you register for classes. These charges will remain, and you will be responsible for payment, unless you officially withdraw or drop your course(s). See the Tuition and Fees section for additional payment information. Course LoadA full course load in a standard six-week session at Boston University Summer Term is eight semester credits (generally two courses). A total of 16 semester credits may be earned over the full twelve-week Summer Term. Visiting students wishing to take more than this number of credits should consult the director of Summer Term at 617-353-5124 for specific requirements. Contact
