Housing and Dining


Summer Housing

Summer Term students are welcome to live on campus at Boston University. Life on campus is vibrant and active, providing a unique opportunity for camaraderie and community as students dine, play, and study together.

Visiting, international, and current Boston University students should make arrangements for on-campus housing directly through the Boston University Office of Housing. Summer 2008 housing details, including application deadlines and rates, are available on the Boston University Office of Housing website. You may also e-mail housing@bu.edu with any questions.

Types of Housing

Boston University Arriving on CampusDormitory-style and apartment-style residences are available; both options vary in size and design. Residence rates vary according to the type of accommodation.

Double rooms and a limited number of single rooms are available in dormitory-style residences.

Student rooms contain a dresser, a desk, a mattress, a bed frame, and a chair for each student. Students must provide their own linen and pillow. Residences are not air conditioned.

Residence Assignments

All residence assignments are made on a space-available basis and according to the dates that completed Residence License Agreements, Assignment Interest Forms, and housing guarantee payments are received by the Office of Housing.

Dining Plans

One residence dining room and other retail dining locations are open on campus throughout the summer for your dining pleasure. Students assigned to dormitory-style residences must choose one of the three summer dining plans available.
