A Day in the Life of a Summer Challenge Student
As a Summer Challenge student, your day-to-day schedule includes structured time in and out of class.
Each weekday, you attend morning and afternoon seminars. You take a break for lunch in a Boston University dining hall, which offers a large assortment of cuisines for all tastes, including vegetarian and vegan options. The dining staff can also help if you have food allergies or other dietary restrictions.
After class, you participate in fun, organized social activities during the afternoon or evenings and on weekends. These events give you a chance to socialize with your new friends and peers while introducing you to Boston and to Boston University. See the Schedule of Social Events for an idea of the exciting activities we plan.
There is plenty of free time to do your homework, enjoy the campus, and explore the city. You can purchase a short-term membership to Boston University's Fitness & Recreation Center, study at one of BU's 22 libraries, relax on the BU "beach," or visit Boston's diverse neighborhoods.
